Recommended Procedure:
Method of Application:
For use with rotary buffer only (NOTE: If using a rotary buffer, be sure you are familiar with its proper use)
Directions:
Shake Well. Work one section at a time. Always work on a cool, properly cured paint surface. Prepare the surface by using 1500 grit (or finer) DA dry sanding disks or 2000 grit (or finer) wet sanding paper by hand.
Sanding
1) Unigrit® Finishing Paper should be soaked in water for at least 15 minutes prior to use. NOTE: To increase lubrication significantly, add a small amount of Mirror Glaze High Tech Wash (M00) to soaking water. 2) Change the water often to avoid picking up contaminants. 3) Always sanding in one direction, and confine sanding to the immediate area of the defect. Spot check every 12 - 15 strokes. 4) For best results and minimum buffing time, always finish with 2000 grit or finer Mirror Glaze Ungrit Finishing Paper.
Defect Removal
1) Set buffer to approximately 1800 - 2000 RPM's. 2) Choose appropriate SOLO System Buffing Pad. Wool Heavy Cutting Pad (WWHC7) Wool Light Cutting Pad (WWLC7) Use the least aggressive pad necessary 3) Prime new or dry pad with Final Inspection (M34). 4) Apply Cut & Polish Cream (M86) directly to properly cured paint finish, and begin working in a 2' x 2' area using moderate pressure and overlapping passes. Continue working until sanding marks and severe defects are removed. 5) Clean pad frequently. Use a wool pad spur or compressed air
Final Polishing
1) Set buffer to approximately 1400-1800 RPM's. 2) Choose appropriate SOLO System Foam Buffing Pad. Diamond" Foam Polishing Pad (WDFP7) Diamond" Foam Finishing Pad (WDFF7) Use the least aggressive pad necessary 3) Prime new or dry pad with M34 Final Inspection. 4) Apply Cut & Polish Cream (M86) directly to properly cured paint finish, and begin working in a 2' x 2' area using moderate pressure and overlapping passes. Continue working until show car quality finish appears. 5) Clean pad frequently. Use a soft nylon bristle brush or microfiber towel
Optional: For extreme gloss, follow with a DA polisher application of M80 Speed Glaze or your favorite Meguiar's polish with a Meguiar's foam pad.
