Customer Raves for Clear Plastic Polish

"Eight months ago, I was involved in a bad car accident where I was the innocent party. Some young girl was going after her cell phone on a freeway in the San Diego area. The freeway was bumper to bumper and the average speed was 30 to 35 miles per hour. According to the report, she was traveling 50 to 55 miles an hour when she hit the left rear side of my truck causing me to spin. The paramedics and CHP (who were my witness’) said I should have been hurt worse than I was. At the time of the accident, a Native American CD was playing. The CD mixes sounds of nature with music; I love it to relax by. Why I had it playing I do not know, but I did. The cd was also damaged in the accident; it had a scratch from one side to the other. I tried almost everything to fix it including Meguiar’s Clear Plastic Detailer which I use to clean all of my electronics. It helped but didn't completely fix the CD. I bought several machines to fix it but nothing worked so I gave up. The worst part was that the CD was out of print. Recently, I learned I needed to have another operation to fix my left shoulder and I wanted my cd for the ride home after surgery. So I tried to fix my cd again. I remembered an independent record store in the San Diego area that I purchased all of my CDs from. He sold Meguiar's Clear Plastic Cleaner and Meguiar’s Clear Plastic Polish for repair and cleaning CDs and DVDs. So I went crazy and hit a good portion of the auto repair stores in the Costa Mesa and Santa Ana Area. I finally found both products at Hub Auto Supply. I cleaned the CD with the Clear Plastic Cleaner first followed by the Clear Plastic Polish and finally I removed any left over traces of the products with the Clear Plastic Detailer. The products worked. The only thing that remained damaged was 2 seconds and that was at the end of one song so all I had to do was edit it and re-burn the cd. Thanks for making some wonderful products."

"Just wanted to make a comment on yet another Meguiar's product that does what it says it will (and more). I have a 1998 C5 Corvette Coupe which is in perfect shape except for the removable sunroof which has been showing its age for some time with many scratch marks over it and a somewhat uneven finish. I have had 2 dealers and 3 windshield/sunroof repair shops look at it and all said no hope for it other then buy a new one for about $1100 or get it refinished for about $800 and 10 day wait period. I decided not to go this route as I assumed there had to be a better way. Tried a general plastic swirl remover (not from Meguiar's) and that was a disaster as now it also had a cloudy film look to it and I could not remove that. I remembered the old polish I had used on my boats plastic windows and gave that a "last hope try." Using the Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Polish #10 (M-1008) and rubbing it in with a good amount of the liquid until it formed a white haze. I then buffed that off with a soft terry cloth. What took me maybe 15 mins total was a sunroof that now looks very close to a new one! Most people that have seen it think I bought a new one as it has a brilliant shine to it and it's back to its tinted dark blue color. Even six months later with no additional work it still looks great! So about $6 worth of polish and 15 mins of my time saved me about $1000. What more can I say other than "Great job Meguiar's"! Now it's only Meguiar's products that touch my Vette (other then me of course). Thanks for the great fix! W M-1008 Tedd Riggs Redmond WA"

"I just need to tell you this. I have a boat that the previous owner would put the bimini top down against the plastic windshield, needless to say I thought I needed new windshields. They were discolored, rub scratches in big clumps, and decent size scratches. My freind gave me some #10 cleaner and polish and said it might get the scratches out. I said, "yeah, right George how are you going to make scratches disappear? He said, "Try it, you got nothing to loose." I tried it and much to my amazement the windshield was unstained and clear but the scratches were still there. I read the lable and it said for scratches use #17 and finish with #10. Right away I got on the internet and found #17 at one of your dealers. It cost me about $18.00 with the shipping (real cheap if the stuff works like the #10). I ran down to the boat and after a lot of elbow grease, the windshields look like brand new. I said to myself I must be seeing things so I used the #10 on my eye glasses and I thought the lenses fell out, they were so clear I coulden't believe it. If I did not try your product first I figure I would have spent about 1,000-2,000 bucks on new windshields. This is the first time I ever got a fix in a plastic bottle that actually worked. I don't know what else to say other than I am one happy camper and thank you so much and I am so happy that I listened to George. I hope he forgets about the #10 because I really don't want to give it back."

"I just wanted to let you people know how well your Mirror Glaze #10 Clear Plastic Polish worked for me. I use it on car parts all the time. I just used it on a clear plastic display case and it worked great. I can't thank you enough. On another note I always watch Car Crazy. Thank You"

"I have been testing your products on my truck for some time now and the results are terrific. Each time I try something new, I'm always impressed with the results. Everyone always says my truck constantly looks "primo", even when I haven't touched it in weeks. I recently purchased a plastic collection. While I was amazed at what it did to mine and my friends dashes, I am truly befuddled at what it did to my dentist's light shields. It took the covers from nasty looking scratched into oblivion, to looking really sharp. The improvement was more than 100%. There were some deep scratches that of course nothing can help, but they look practically brand new now. I am convincing all those around me that Meguiar's is the way to go. It's the only thing that touches my truck now."
