"You may already know this, but I have discovered a surprising non-automotive use for your PlastX. I received a DVD from NetFlix which was visibly damaged, and as expected it refused to be played. No improvement was made when I washed it. In semi- desperation I put a blob of PlastX on a soft cloth, applied it sparingly to the business side of the disc, and buffed it to a shine. The DVD then played perfectly. I'm even more impressed with the product than I had been already. Good job!"

"My new motorcycle Memphis shades windshield was scratched when I tried cleaning it with the cleaning brush and squeegee at a gas station. I rode through a huge mess of flying critters and could not see through it. I was on a long 450 mile day ride and needed to clean the windshield. I had tried to be very careful but I still left some deep scratches and a lot of smaller ones. I had just replaced the windshield plastic a few months before and was to say the least upset. "I just tried PlastX on my 2000 Subaru Outback and my wife's 1996 Infiniti I30. Both had very cloudy headlight lenses and taillight lenses. I was watching eBay to try to pick off a pair of new headlight assemblies for each car. It would have run about $250 per pair for the Subaru and about $300 for the Infiniti. Well, it ended up costing about $8.00 for the PlastX and now the lenses look almost new. It only took about 30 minutes to do both cars. " I would like to say your PlastX really works. I have a 1966 corvette convertible which I have had a new convertible top installed on. My car was repainted after the top was put on. The paint shop let overspray get on the new rear plastic window. I ordered a bottle of PlastX and a pack of Gold Class foam applicators from your on-line store and proceeded to go to work on the rear window. I put on 2 applications of the PlastX on the rear window and sure enough, the rear window was perfect and without any overspray residue. Your product really worked for me. "Wow! Thanks Meguiar's for saving me $300 to $400! Let me tell you how. My 1991 Ford Escort station wagon got caught in the middle of a four-car bumper thumper about two weeks ago. The car is a good little car, but due to its age, almost any accident would have brought about damage costs that would exceed the value of the car. Since the car has served me well, is still in good mechanical condition, has little other damage, and has lots of miles left in it, I chose to buy back the car for "salvage" value from the insurance company. Come to find out, the DMV requires a brake and light inspection before allowing the car to be re- registered. Makes sense, but have you noticed how hazy and yellow those headlamp covers get on Ford Escorts, especially after 15 years?! Well, the lens covers "failed" the light inspection, just as the garage owner had predicted when I dropped it off for the inspection. Fortunately I had the foresight to call up Pep Boys to see if there was a product that would help clear up the lens covers and let more light through. They suggested Meguiar's PlastX. I bought the $6.99 bottle and tested it out on my 11- year-old Dodge Caravan that was still at home. Wow! What an obvious difference! Shortly after testing out the PlastX on my Caravan, the inspection garage owner called me back to give me the bad news about the headlamps "failing" in the inspection. He told me that I could choose after-market lenses or Ford lenses - with labor, I was looking at $300 to $400 for a car I just bought back for a little over $100! Having nothing to lose, I told the owner I would like to try to polish the lens covers of the Escort with the Meguiar’s PlastX and have him recheck them for brightness. He said, "OK." I got out my pad and cloth and applied the PlastX. The owner and one of his employees watched in amazement as years of yellowed, glazed frostiness simply melted away before our eyes! I used the PlastX on the worst of the two lens covers first. The owner retested the lighting capacity/intensity and to his amazement (an my relief) the lighting was more than adequate. Thanks totally to Meguiar’s PlastX! The garage owner was very impressed! The Escort passed the inspection and the DMV re-registered my car! I am very grateful that I only spent a little over $7 instead of over $300! When I got home, I told my neighbor about PlastX and let him use it. He is sold on it now too. Then I showed another friend and am letting him use it too. I sent my "before" and "after" photos via e- mail to many other friends and family and they are all "wowing" the results as well! "I thought I would write and tell you about the surprise I had concerning one of your fine products. I was in my local parts store (AutoZone) in Erie PA and just happened to see next to the automotive bulbs, a small packet of PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish. I looked at the price and decided to buy it for .99 cents. The first day that it warmed up, I decided to try it on my 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager and what a shock I was in for. I could not believe the difference, before and after. Since that time, I had bought two more of those packets and have since cleaned the headlight lenses. "I just bought a bottle of your PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner, and I have to say I am extremely impressed. I have a 1993 Nissan 240 SX that I bought from a woman who severely neglected the car's finish as well as general upkeep. I managed to restore the OE finish and some interior components but the headlights and tail lights were still an eyesore. I tried scrubbing them with a good carwash and when that didn't work, I tried a competitive product with similar results. I had almost given up and bought entirely new headlights when I came across your PlastX Cleaner in a local Auto store. Granted I had become somewhat jaded at that point and figured if it didn't work either, I would find some other use for it. It only took me five or six minutes to clean both the head lights and tail lights and it should be said that the headlight were hazed to a dull yellow.
